WHAT TO EXPECT

Having been described by Tatler as ‘discreet, charming and very professional, I approach each and every wedding I photograph with the same energy and sense of purpose. With a relentless work ethic and a keen focus on being intuitive to your needs, I will make sure you feel completely at ease throughout the day. My informal and candid style is based more so on documenting your day, capturing each moment as it unfolds, rather than have you pose awkwardly for long periods when the magic is lost. I will of course direct and set up shots, but will always keep things natural, modern and in line with an energy that I know makes for images that reflect the truth, happiness and a moment in time that was enjoyed.
With over 18 years of experience in the industry, I have learnt that being kind, courteous and attentive to my client’s needs creates trust and relationships that transcend time. This is why I love being a photographer and meeting wonderful couples along this journey, I feel as though when I am picked as a photographer, I have been entrusted with a huge responsibility, something I never take for granted. I will always give everything I have in return for this honour and continue to provide my clients with images that bring joy for years to come.

ABOUT ME

When I was a teenager, my father gave me his camera, I instantly fell in love with photography. From GCSE to A level, to a degree in photography, my camera was always close by and like a companion to me. Because of that, I have been a professional photographer for more than 18 years and have photographed weddings, parties and events all over the world.

In those early days I would take my camera with me and document life, looking through a viewfinder and searching for key moments to capture – always intuitively – and this gave me such enjoyment. I have fond memories of being in the darkroom before and then after school until it was dinner time. Learning the art of developing and printing my images deepened my love of photography.

I would have never imagined back then that I would ever be commissioned to shoot the likes of Madonna, Robert De Niro, Beyoncé, Brad Pitt and Her Majesty the Queen or work with brands like Audi, Louis Vuitton, Dolce and Gabbana, Fendi, Christian Louboutin and Harrods. I now shoot in house for Tatler, GQ, Conde Nast Traveller, Brides Magazine with images being featured in Vogue. I have had the privilege to have been commissioned to go to Paris to shoot for Roberto Cavali, a launch party in Beijing for Victoria Beckham and to Los Angeles for the reveal of the new Jaguar F-TYPE Convertible.

As a child, I could have never imagined photography would play such a big role in my life and take me on such a wonderful journey. As I sit here now as a proud father to two lovely children and a partner to my rock, I think back to when my father gave me his camera all those years ago, I feel maybe I was destined only to be one thing in life.

What style do you have?

I have an informal approach that lends itself to a candid and relaxed style of photography. Documenting moments as they happen, rather than trying to govern any situation, always using my instincts to be in the right place at the right time to capture that special moment. I often take influence from my editorial fashion experience when shooting to create modern, contemporary and playful images that convey the bond that you hold and the love you share. In essence, I aim to create an easy-going and effortless connection with you, where you can trust in the knowledge that I will be there to capture every moment you could ever hope for and provide you with images that you will want to look at, time and time again.

Will it be you shooting our wedding?

Yes, it will, I find it essential that I will be your principal photographer as I can only trust in my ability to provide all that I promise to you and my clients. On larger weddings, I will of course bring support photographers who I trust and know share my belief in providing only the very best, but it is important to me that I will always be there to keep the quality of my product and services consistently and in line with my core principles. Many photography companies will send their photographers out to shoot a wedding and work on this basis, which is fine by me, but I feel the connection you have made with a client is key and the trust they are giving you can only be reciprocated with my own personal attention.

Will you shoot destination weddings?

Let me think about that one…..um, yes I will! I am happy to shoot in London, the length and breadth of the UK and all over the world if you want me to. I love to shoot destination weddings, the unique backdrops of faraway lands excite me and the potential in creativity keeps me up at night in thought. From a local registry office to a backdrop of a Tahiti sunset, I am will be there for you at a drop of a hat.

What if I don’t like having my photo taking?

First and foremost, you are not alone. In fact, many of my clients do not like their photograph being take and It’s completely normal to feel self-conscious when a camera is on you. However, I can assure you, I will always make you feel at ease and comfortable, as my method of doing so is based on my calm and reassuring presence and the ability to blend into the background, taking images in a discreet and non-evasive manner. Rarely will I require anything from you apart from you just to being in the moment. If I do ask you to pose for an image, it will be for a brief moment but it will feel seamless and non-disruptive to your enjoyment or will spoil the flow of the day.

How many photos can we expect to receive?

I tend to shoot a lot and will usually take in the region of around 7000 images on any big wedding. To me, I feel there is so much worth capturing and I often go into overdrive and want to photograph everything, obsessing on not missing that key shot. This is to my detriment as choosing the best images can often take days. However, this will never deter me, as I feel when shooting so many images, nothing is overlooked and the final product of around 2000 images is a full and thorough visual account of your special day, from beginning to end. I often hear from my clients that the day has flown by, but with the help of all of the images I provide, it will be easy to relive all of your memories time and time again.

Do you cater for different ceremonies and religions?

Absolutely, it is such a pleasure capturing the depth and intricacies of different traditions, cultures, blessings, ceremonies and beliefs. I gladly embrace all weddings with experience in most, from Indian to Jewish weddings, from traditional religious to informal, from civil ceremonies to same-sex marriage. I approach all weddings with the same drive to capture the authenticity of each occasion, along with an unwavering need to tell every step of the story of your special day. Although there are such rich differences between the kind of weddings I cover, I feel there are more similarities when it comes to the happiness shared by all, the positive energy that flows throughout the day and beauty of the relationship, bringing together the people you most cherish.

How long will it take to see our images?

It takes between a week and ten days to receive your images as each and every image that make the edit will go through a series of post-production, all colour corrected, sharpened, exposure added where needed, shadow and highlights applied etc. This is an enhancement I feel allows for the very best to be extracted from each image You will receive your 2000+images on a private gallery where you can view and download individual images or the full set.

Do you provide albums?

I do indeed and can proudly say that I have chosen from many bookmakers finally picking one that has a quality that is far superior to most. Made in Italy by a world-renowned bookmaker who has been dedicated to excellence for nearly 40 years, hand-bound using the finest materials and using state of the art print technology combines to make not only a gorgeous album but a luxury product that embodies attention to detail and is stunning in every single way.
